Micromosaic Jellyfish Brass Earrings
The subject of the earrings is the stylization of an imaginary creature that unites starfish and jellyfish. the name of the creation is "Stellusa". The earrings are made entirely by hand using galvanized nickel free gold metal and filled by the Roman technique of micro-mosaic yarn. This technique consists in heating and modifying the shape of the glass material in order to obtain rods that are cut and inserted into the bezel. In these earrings was used the orange color and were enriched with cotton tassels.
This piece is made using the micromosaics: an handmade ancient technique that uses small pieces of glass to create small figurative images. This art form is typical of Italy and derives from the ancient Roman Empire.
