Micromosaic Snail Brass Ring

The subject on the ring is the stylization of an imaginary creature that combines a snail and a mushroom. the name of the creation is "Mushroom". The ring is made entirely by hand using gold galvanized metal and filled by the Roman technique of micro-mosaic yarn. This technique consists in heating and modifying the shape of the glass material in order to obtain rods that are cut and inserted into the bezel. The range of colors used are: brown, white, red and gray.

This piece is made using the micromosaics: an handmade ancient technique that uses small pieces of glass to create small figurative images. This art form is typical of Italy and derives from the ancient Roman Empire.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece and the size of this ring is adjustable.
