The technical quality of the jewelry line KLEO GLENS is characterized by the manual processing, the fretwork on aluminum sheets, and the subsequent handcrafted finishes. Craftsmanship is at the heart of the production process.
The choice of materials is influenced by the desire to produce metal jewelry using antique jewelry-making techniques. Aluminum has proven to be the best choice.
The lightness of this metal has allowed me to create a distinctive and unique aspect of my design: the overlapping of aluminum sheets joined together with 925 silver-plated pivots.
This Korean gilding technique was developed to apply 24-karat gold to silver objects. Pressure welding takes advantage of the chemical properties of pure gold. At a certain temperature, the gold foil begins to allow oxygen atoms through. The gold passes through the oxygen and, thanks to the lack of pressure, adheres precisely to the metal, creating a permanent bond between the two metals.
This piece of jewelry is entirely handmade and the whole process is 100% Made in Italy
