Seahorse vanadinite stone pendant necklace in 18kt gold

This 18kt yellow gold pendant combines a mineral with warm colors, a Vanadinite of Morocco, and a graceful seahorse that immediately recalls the sea. Symbolically, it is a union of nature between the element of earth and the element of water.

The title of the necklace, "Mine of the abysses", is a pun that leads back to the mine from which minerals are extracted but simultaneously reminds us how the immense treasures we can find at sea: from it fauna and flora to historical treaures that lie on its seabed.
The term abyss also expresses a double meaning: it is not only connected to the depths of the sea but also to those of the mines, which are rich in precious treasures as well.

The pendant is combined with a series of small cables in raw white gold that allow a more comfortable wearability. The white gold was deliberately left opaque so as not to create an excessive color contrast, in perfect harmony with the rough surface of the mineral.
