The week entirely dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of contemporary, author's, artist's and goldsmith's historical realities of the city.

Inclusiveness, conviviality, connection and joy

The first edition of the Rome Jewelry Week is a week entirely dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of contemporary, author's, artist's and historical goldsmith realities of the city. Jewelery designers and the excellence of Roman goldsmiths are invited to participate as protagonists of the RJW, as well as jewelery ateliers, galleries, academies and associations.

The exhibition is open, upon selection, also to designers from other Italian cities and from abroad. At the center of the event there will be their precious creations on display, which in a single artifact concentrate stories to be told in the form of goldsmith art, contemporaneity and technology.

The intent of the RJW is to offer the public a high cultural value that enhances the great historical and artistic heritage of Rome, connecting the most interesting realities of the sector. Especially in this complex historical period, the city must re-appropriate the spaces dedicated to art, design and craftsmanship and must return to attract not only for its magnificent historical vestiges but also for the immense heritage in the field of goldsmith art and specifically of artistic jewelery. The event will be dedicated to culture and beauty; inclusiveness, conviviality , connection and joywill be the key elements to conduct the event and guide the creativity of the artists. A valuable project that therefore takes on multiple meanings. In fact, we want to make the capital live and re-live for the purposes of an urban regeneration of its historic center. There is an interest in rediscovering how the millenary history of Rome passes also and above all through the ancient walls of the center, theaters of centuries-old activities where "Made in Italy" was born and continues to exist. A project that has the host city in its heart, respecting its traditions, arts and techniques of ancient crafts. We want to demonstrate, with passion and reverence, that contemporary art and creativity coexist with technology and innovation, but also with tradition and ancient goldsmith techniques. This intent will lead the artist to the realization of the work, which will be the expression of careful research.

It is important to create a system to give voice and make known the excellence in this sector at an international level, we want to create a reference event to enhance the city of Rome and its vast cultural heritage , which meets the needs of a new generation of tourism far from the hasty and consumerist one ".
